Hi there, this is Alyssa Caggiano, the founder of South Carolina Adoption Home Study Services. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with extensive experience in child welfare. I earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree (BSW) and a Master of Social Work degree (MSW) from North Carolina State University as a Child Welfare Education Collaborative student. Before finding my love for adoption work, I worked as a child protective services social worker investigating child abuse and neglect. I then worked as a home study social worker in North Carolina before relocating to South Carolina’s Grand Strand. I have worked on the front lines of child welfare, giving me a unique lens into adoption work. Since living in South Carolina, I have found that there is a crucial need for adoption services in the area, ultimately resulting in the founding of South Carolina Adoption Home Study Services. 

I am passionate about providing families with adoption assistance through pre- and post-placement assessments. I provide services throughout the entire state of South Carolina. I am authorized as a Certified Investigator through the South Carolina Department of Social Services (license #2616-095).
